Following in the footsteps of Ferrari's prosperous 430 Scuderia, the 458 Speciale was introduced to the Ferrari lineup in 2014 as a limited-edition Coupe, offering exhilarating performance and the thrill of beautiful body lines coupled with the 458's amazing exhaust note. At the heart of the Speciale is a 4.5-liter V-8 that develops 597 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, along with 398 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. This represents a 35-horsepower improvement over the standard 458. Credit goes to a load of engine modifications that include everything from new pistons and updated combustion chambers to revised intake runners and carbon-fiber airbox and manifold. Ferrari left no stone unturned when taking every ounce of performance out of this motor. Performance remains largely the same thanks to the car's active aerodynamics, and it can sprint from 0-62 mph in 3 seconds and has a top speed just over 200 mph. The rarified Speciale is approximately 431 pounds less than the normal 458, with a total weight of 2,843 pounds opposed to the original 3,724 pounds, this due to the intense use of carbon fiber and lightweight composites throughout the car. This Speciale here was delivered new to the Ferrari dealer in California in July of 2014 to the first owner of the vehicle. It is finished in the iconic shade of Rosso Corsa and features the extremely rare Carbon Fiber Side Skirt Piece as well as Carbon Fiber Engine Bay. The solid choice of the Stripe-Delete on the car accentuates the car's body and makes the body lines flow as one. Inside, the car was optioned with the full Leather interior with some special ordered details like the Tricolor Stripe down the center of the seats as well as a painted Italian Flag on the steering wheel and painted Italian Stripes on the central tunnel! The car has maintained in immaculate condition since new and resides today in Florida covering a total of just over 8,330 original miles!
