2012 Nissan Leaf - Reliable, Simple, and Affordable EV Owned for over 3 years and has been a dependable, no-drama car. No mechanical issues. No gas. No oil changes. Just plug in and drive. This Leaf is ideal for flat, in-town commuting to school or work. Current range is approximately 40 miles. The battery pack was upgraded prior to my ownership (over 3 years ago), and the car has performed consistently since. LeafSpy is installed and included for battery monitoring and transparency. Comfort features include a heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seats, making winter driving much more enjoyable. Tires still have usable life remaining. Recently installed a brand-new standard 12-volt lead-acid battery (under the hood) that powers accessories, lights, and system startup. Purchased for my high schooler, but they've since graduated and moved out of state, so the car is no longer needed. A great entry-level EV perfect for local driving.
