Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to digitally present this 1998 Jaguar XK8 Convertible Few cars capture late-1990s grand touring elegance quite like the Jaguar XK8. Designed as the spiritual successor to the legendary XJS, the XK8 blended classic British styling cues with modern engineering, creating a car that feels refined, confident, and unmistakably Jaguar. This example presents in a deep blue exterior that highlights the XK8's flowing body lines and long-hood proportions. The power-operated convertible top allows for open-air motoring at a moment's notice, transforming the car from a composed luxury coupe into a true grand touring convertible. Signature Jaguar design elements - including the oval grille, swept headlamps, and sculpted rear - give the XK8 a timeless presence that still turns heads today. Under the hood sits Jaguar's 4.0L DOHC V8, an all-aluminum engine known for its smooth power delivery and refined character. Paired with an automatic transmission, the XK8 delivers effortless highway cruising and confident acceleration, making it equally at home on long road trips or relaxed weekend drives. Independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes contribute to a balanced driving experience that emphasizes comfort without sacrificing control. Inside, the cabin reflects Jaguar's traditional approach to luxury, featuring leather seating, wood veneer trim, and a driver-focused layout. The interior is designed to cocoon occupants in comfort while maintaining a sporting feel, staying true to the XK lineage. The 1998 XK8 represents a pivotal moment for Jaguar - the return to a true V8-powered grand tourer with modern reliability and classic styling. Whether you're a longtime Jaguar enthusiast or someone looking for an elegant convertible with pedigree, this XK8 offers an authentic British motoring experience. This Jaguar XK8 can be seen at the St. Louis Showroom located at 1237 Central Park Drive, O'Fallon IL 62269.
