Probably the nicest, cleanest, and strongest late model GTO available. The second owner has cared for it, upgraded it, carefully stored it is a heated garage since 2008. It has been driven gently and sparingly since then. The 400 Horsepower LS2 engine is very powerful throughout the RPM range. It pulls strong from 1000 rpm and spins quickly to 7,000 rpm with a great flat torque curve. In sixth gear, it quietly turns 1100 rpm at 60 mph and gets 28.5 mpg on the interstate IF you keep your foot out of it. The excellent suspension, precise rack and pinion and four wheel disc brakes yeild a wonderfully handling car that is just a joy to drive. A number of important upgrades have been made to make this GTO perfect - 1- Stock GTOs come with a weak two piece driveshaft featuring three &quot;rag joints&quot; to soften driveline vibrations. This GTO has been upgraded to a 4 inch diameter chrom moly driveshaft guaranteed for the life of the car. 2-The stock GTO have beautiful, comfortable black leather seats but their stitching thread deteriorates and the foam guts pop out. Howard of Salisbury reupholstered the car and it also has a lifetime guarantee . 3- The stock GTO radiator overflow tank is flimsy plastic, This one has been upgraded to a Moroso aluminum unit, also guaranteed. 4- The stock GTO sound system has been upgraded to Sirius Radio, Bluetooth connectivity and upgradced Kenwood speakers. Travelling is a joy when you can enjoy the music you like. The GTO has a back seat and will accomodate four people. The recommendation is that Offensive linemen ride in the front and smaller folks ride in the back. The trunk is quite adequate for trips, but smaller suitcases and soft sided luggage work best.
