Paired with a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain delivers confident acceleration whether you're merging onto Highway 99 or towing up to 3,500 pounds. The i-VTEC system intelligently adjusts valve timing for a balance of performance and fuel efficiency, with EPA estimates around 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway respectable numbers for a three-row SUV with AWD. The all-wheel drive system automatically shifts torque to the wheels that need it most, giving you added confidence on everything from wet pavement to light off-road terrain. ===== Honda Pilot LX Features and Interior ===== ==== Three Rows, Real Comfort ==== The LX is Honda's entry-level Pilot trim, but don't let that mislead you it comes genuinely well-equipped for families. Inside, you'll find seating for up to eight passengers across three rows, with Honda's thoughtful layout making second and third-row access easier than most competitors. Standard features on the 2018 Pilot LX include a 5-inch display audio system, Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming, a rearview camera, Honda Sensing safety suite, tri-zone automatic climate control, and Honda's versatile Magic Slide second-row seats that allow creative passenger and cargo configurations. J.D. Power gave the 2018 Pilot high marks for quality and dependability, and owner forums consistently praise the V6 engine and transmission for their longevity. At 94,000 miles, a well-maintained Pilot like this one is typically just reaching middle age many owners report these engines running well past 200,000 miles with regular oil changes and basic maintenance. The Honda Sensing suite, which includes collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control, adds a layer of active safety that was considered premium technology at this price point in 2018.
