This rare Jeep was purchased by the seller from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources at age 10 years with 108k miles on the odometer. It has been owned and maintained by the seller ever since. This rare 5-speed manual jeep features the ASIN AX15 transmission -- a very sweet shifter. This XJ has been maintained extensively since new, with *all* maintenance records since new. including 47 oil changes for an average of 5450mi between changes. No detectable loss of oil over a span of at least 4k miles, and has never needed oil added between oil changes. Engine power is no different than it was at 108k mi. Both engine and AC radiators were replaced at 215k mi. Does not consume coolant. Sparkplugs were last replaced at 236k mi. All 6 old plugs were in *excellent* condition. Clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throwout bearing replaced at 167k mi. The transmission bearings and seals and driveshaft universals were also replaced at this time. Nothing needed to be replaced except the pilot bearing --- but when you've got it apart ... Front discs and calipers and upper and lower ball joints were replaced with new at 253k mi. This XJ has a Gabriel Air Shock adjustable lift system on the rear suspension. This Jeep has Grand Cherokee leather bucket seats. These buckets are superb, unlike the standard XJ seats. The drivers-side bucket seat was re-upholstered in 2017. The passenger-side bucket has two tape-covered tears, as can been seen in the photos. The audio system is a Pioneer double-high head unit with a separate subwoofer pwr. amp. This Jeep was repainted in a metallic burgundy in 2017. This jeep has never been in an accident. This Jeep comes with two sets of wheels and tires, as highlighted in the photographs. Summer tires are Michelin Premier LTX 225/70 R16 tires on Jeep aluminum wheels. Winter tires are Blizzak DM-V2 235/75 R15 tires on Jeep steel wheels. Both sets of tires have plenty of tread left.
