If you've been searching for an affordable entry into hydrogen fuel cell technology, this 2017 Toyota Mirai Sedan for sale at Siry Motors in San Diego, California is one of the most compelling deals you'll find anywhere in Southern California. Priced at just $5,999, this blue FWD Mirai with 90,756 miles offers a rare opportunity to drive a genuinely futuristic vehicle at a surprisingly down-to-earth price point. ===== About This 2017 Toyota Mirai Sedan ===== The 2017 Toyota Mirai represents a landmark moment in automotive history a production hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle built by one of the world's most trusted automakers. This particular example comes in an eye-catching blue exterior and has covered just over 90,000 miles, which for a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is well within normal operating range. Fuel cell stacks in the Mirai are engineered with Toyota's legendary durability in mind, and real-world owners have reported the powertrain holding up remarkably well into high mileage territory. At $5,999, this is arguably one of the most affordable ways to own a piece of automotive history in San Diego. ===== 2017 Toyota Mirai Performance and Engine ===== ==== Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power in the Real World ==== Under the hood or more accurately, beneath the floor the 2017 Toyota Mirai is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell stack paired with an electric motor, driving the front wheels through a smooth CVT automatic transmission. The system produces around 151 horsepower and delivers instant, seamless torque typical of electric drive systems. Acceleration is quiet, responsive, and effortless, making the Mirai a genuinely pleasant car to drive in San Diego's stop-and-go traffic along the I-5 or I-8 corridors. The EPA-rated range on a full hydrogen tank is approximately 312 miles, and refueling at a hydrogen station takes only about five minutes far faster than charging a battery electric vehicle. For San Diego County drivers, this is a practical consideration, as the region has more hydrogen fueling infrastructure than almost anywhere else in the United States. ===== Toyota Mirai Features and Interior ===== ==== Comfort and Technology Onboard ==== The 2017 Mirai Sedan was designed to feel premium from the moment you sit down. The interior features a distinctive dual-cockpit layout with a large central infotainment display, Toyota's Entune audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and available navigation. The driver-focused cabin wraps you in quality materials with comfortable, supportive seating for four passengers. Safety features include Toyota Safety Sense-style driver assistance technology, pre-collision warning systems, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera. The Mirai was built to compete with luxury sedans from a comfort and technology standpoint and that DNA shows through even at this price point. ===== Toyota Mirai Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What Mirai Owners Actually Experience ==== Toyota has built a well-earned reputation for reliability across its entire lineup, and the Mirai is no exception. The fuel cell powertrain has no conventional engine with oil changes, timing belts, or spark plugs to worry about. Maintenance requirements are dramatically simplified compared to a traditional internal combustion vehicle there's no engine oil to change, no transmission fluid service in the traditional sense, and regenerative braking reduces brake wear significantly. One important note for prospective Mirai buyers in San Diego: hydrogen fueling infrastructure is concentrated in California, making the state and San Diego County specifically one of the best places in the world to own this vehicle. Toyota has historically offered hydrogen fuel subsidies for Mirai owners, and California also offers carpool lane access stickers for qualifying fuel c>
