Regarded as one of the greatest sport sedans of all time, the E39-generation BMW M5 pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with the legendary 4.9-liter S62 V8, the first eight-cylinder engine ever offered in the M5 lineage. This 2000 example is finished in Jet Black over Black Nappa leather upholstery and comes equipped with a limited-slip differential, M-tuned suspension, xenon headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power sunroof, heated and power-adjustable front sport seats, an Anthracite Alcantara headliner, factory 18 Style 65 wheels, and an upgraded Alpine touchscreen head unit. It also benefits from a major service completed in 2022 that included a new clutch and dual-mass flywheel, flex disc, driveshaft center support bearing, drivetrain mounts, and fresh fluids. A lifelong California car until our acquisition in 2026. The cabin is upholstered in Black Nappa leather and features Titan Silver trim along with an Anthracite Alcantara headliner. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable front sport seats with lumbar support and memory, a power-adjustable steering column, a multifunction M three-spoke leather steering wheel, M5-branded door sills and floor mats, an illuminated M shift knob, M-specific instrumentation, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and an Alpine touchscreen head unit. Equipped with individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS variable valve timing, the naturally aspirated 4.9-liter S62 V8 was factory-rated at 394 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Standard performance features include an M-tuned sport suspension, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), M Driving Dynamics Control, and M Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering.
