Yes, this IS300 has over 200,000 miles, but that is hardly alarming for the legendary 2JZ-GE engine and this exceptionally durable platform. Plenty of well-maintained examples are still running on their original drivetrains with two, three, or even four times the mileage. Please do not ask for discounts. Finding these cars in good condition has become increasingly difficult, and this particular example is exceptionally well-preserved! The first-generation IS300 is one of our favorite cars. When Lexus designed the IS, the company was determined to attract a younger generation of buyers and compete directly with the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Lexus reportedly gave its engineering and design teams considerable freedom to develop something genuinely special, and the result was one of the best compact rear-wheel-drive sport sedans of its era. The quality of the materials and attention to detail are immediately noticeable. The interior features leather and Alcantara upholstery with contrasting piping, metal door-sill plates, metal speaker grilles, aluminum pedals, excellent steering-wheel ergonomics, and one of the most distinctive gauge-cluster designs ever fitted to a production car. Clear taillights, which became a major aftermarket trend, were installed from the factory, while xenon headlights were standard equipment. This particular IS300 is especially desirable for several reasons. It is a true one-owner survivor with extensive service history. More importantly, it was never modified, abused, or passed between teenage owners, and its condition clearly reflects that. TIMING BELT / WATER PUMP just done!
