The 2017 BMW X5 xDrive35i is a midsize luxury SUV with a focus on solid road manners, a refined cabin, and practical day-to-day use. Its all-wheel-drive system is standard on this model, and the chassis is tuned for composed handling without giving up the higher driving position expected in this segment. The exterior design follows BMW's familiar proportions, with a long hood, upright rear section, and broad stance that leave room for passengers and cargo. The bodywork includes a panoramic sunroof along with a separate sunroof, and both features add additional openings above the cabin. Xenon headlights are also fitted, giving the front end lighting hardware that is well suited to regular nighttime driving. The vehicle's overall form is familiar for the X5 line, and the equipment list supports the role it was built to fill. Inside, the cabin uses leather seats and a dashboard layout centered around the driver. The seating surfaces bring a more finished feel to the interior, and the driving position remains elevated without feeling detached from the road. Materials are arranged in a way that matches the model's premium positioning, with controls placed within reach and major functions grouped in the expected BMW fashion. The cabin is sized to serve adults in both rows, and the rear area provides the kind of accommodation typically needed for family use or longer trips. Storage space is integrated throughout the interior, and the tail area is shaped to handle luggage, groceries, or other daily items. The hands-free liftgate is included, making rear access less dependent on using a hand to open the door. The interior does not rely on dramatic styling elements, and it instead emphasizes familiar controls, durable surfaces, and straightforward usability. Technology features in this X5 include navigation, which is built into the vehicle and available through the center display. The system is part of the original equipment list and gives the driver a dedicated route guidance function without requiring a separate device. The interface sits within the dashboard and works alongside the rest of the onboard controls, which keeps the cabin organized and uncluttered. The included equipment reflects a vehicle that was specified with convenience in mind, but the presentation remains practical rather than elaborate. Functions are integrated into the dashboard in a conventional way, and the main displays are arranged for clear visibility from the driver's seat. The vehicle's electronic and comfort features are paired with the mechanical advantage of the xDrive system, giving it the traction benefits associated with BMW's all-wheel-drive hardware. The result is a vehicle that carries the expected assortment of premium equipment without adding unnecessary complexity. On the road, the 2017 X5 xDrive35i is built around a balance of response, stability, and everyday drivability. Steering and suspension tuning are set up for a composed feel in normal use, and the taller body retains the secure manner expected from this class of SUV. The model designation identifies it as a 35i, and the drivetrain works through the xDrive system to support traction in changing conditions. The vehicle's size gives it a substantial presence on the road while still remaining manageable for parking and routine commuting. The liftgate, lighting, glass roof openings, navigation system, leather seating, and all-wheel-drive hardware are all part of the equipment as fitted here, and they define the vehicle's usability more than any decorative detail. Its mechanical and interior features are arranged to support regular travel, carrying duties, and time spent behind the wheel without requiring added explanation.
