1993 Ford Probe Base 2.0L, 5-speed manual, 246,930 miles. One owner since new. I purchased it November 23, 1992 from Wayne Cross Ford in San Rafael, CA making it one of the earliest Probes sold in the U.S. I have extensive original documentation, including sales paperwork, bill of sale, brochure, warranty documents and shipping records from its time in Europe and return to the U.S. European-spec rear taillights with amber turn signals were installed; original U.S.-spec assemblies are included. The car drives well and has never left me stranded. It has been always garage-kept. PermaPlate anti-rust treatment was purchased and applied when new. As a California-spec car, it has exceptionally clean emissions; CO readings were consistently zero during Tennessee emissions testing. For complete honesty, known issues include a long-standing crack in the passenger side of the windshield, broken passenger window crank (original included), cracked plastic dashboard top, and rear shocks likely due for replacement. Check Engine and Airbag lights occasionally illuminate and then go out. The car had two minor accidents: a pickup backed into the front bumper, which was professionally repaired/repainted, and another vehicle backed into the right-front fender. That damage was not repaired because original replacement panels were unavailable. The car has an aftermarket radio/speakers and anti-theft system; original Ford radio included. The pop-up headlights are kept raised because the passenger-side mechanism became slow. It was professionally repainted in original Calypso Green about 15 years ago. A green leather shift boot replaced the worn original. Included are original U.S. taillights, Ford radio, extensive original documentation, original wheel covers, protective covers, original Ford oil filter and spark plugs, and two unopened wiper blades. This is an honest, well-preserved, one-owner Probe. Its known flaws are disclosed. Extensive photos and a driving video are attached.
