It has the craftsmanship and rear-seat presence expected of a flagship luxury sedan, but underneath it is a Bentley engineered to be driven rather than simply ridden in. In W12 form, that distinction becomes much harder to ignore. Its 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 produces 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and active all-wheel drive. Bentley Dynamic Ride and electronic all-wheel steering were standard on the W12, giving a sedan more than 17 feet long the chassis technology to behave like something substantially smaller. Specification matters enormously on these cars. The difference between two otherwise identical Flying Spurs can be found in the materials, wheels, trim, cabin details and individual choices made when the original owner sat down to configure it. This one was ordered properly. Glacier White gives the bodywork enough contrast for the bright exterior detailing to remain visible without becoming ostentatious, while Linen changes the character of the cabin completely. Instead of the darker, more formal atmosphere common to many Flying Spurs, the interior feels open and architectural. Then there is the Mulliner specification.
