*2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet* Few open-top cars from any era combine outright speed with everyday usability quite like the 997-generation Turbo Cabriolet. This 2008 example is finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Cocoa leather interior, offered with three previous owners and 40,000 miles, and built to a total of $158,530 including options. Power comes from Porsche's twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six, producing 480 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, paired with the 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission and Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive a combination Porsche's own factory testing showed to be slightly quicker than the manual, with a 0-60 mph time in the low-3-second range and a 193 mph top speed. This particular car was optioned with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, an $8,840 upgrade that brings dramatically reduced brake fade and unsprung weight over the standard setup, along with the Sport Chrono Package Plus for launch control and an overboost function that briefly increases available torque. Porsche Active Suspension Management with a 10mm lowering, adaptive sport seats, and staggered 19-inch turbo wheels round out a specification built as much for back-road capability as outright straight-line speed. Inside, Natural Leather in Cocoa covers the cabin extensively, complemented by a thicker three-spoke steering wheel wrapped in smooth leather, aluminum interior trim with a turbo-specific shift lever, and a Cocoa-colored cabriolet top that ties the whole presentation together. A nine-speaker Bose surround sound system, PCM with a 5.8-inch color display, and a driver's seat memory feature bring genuine modern convenience to a car built well over a decade ago. For a buyer chasing one of the most capable open-top 911s of its generation, this Turbo Cabriolet offers formidable performance, a distinctive color and trim combination, and the kind of open-air theater that only a proper Porsche flat-six can deliver.
