Perfect Auto Collection Signature Listing 2021 Aston Martin DBX VIN SCFVUJAW5MTV03757 | 22,621 miles Eighty-eight thousand dollars of options on a hundred-and-seventy-seven-thousand-dollar car. Somebody was not being careful with the configurator. Why We Acquired This Vehicle The DBX is the most consequential car Aston Martin has built in decades. It is the company's first SUV, produced at a factory in St Athan, Wales, built specifically for it, and it was designed to broaden a business that had spent a century making two-door sports cars for a narrow audience. Underneath, it is a bespoke bonded aluminum structure rather than a platform borrowed from anyone. The engine is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 542 horsepower and 516 lb-ft, driving all four wheels through an active transfer case and an electronically controlled rear differential. Triple-chamber air suspension and a 48-volt active anti-roll system handle a vehicle that reaches 60 mph in the low four-second range and runs to 181 mph. This example arrived with its original Monroney label, and that document is the reason we bought the car. Against a $176,900 port-of-entry price it totals $265,386 - roughly eighty-eight thousand dollars of optional equipment, including three separate commissions through Q by Aston Martin, the company's bespoke division. We have handled very few vehicles of any marque specified this far beyond standard. The verified appointments are detailed in full below. The question we ask is whether the original order shows real intent, and whether we would be proud to keep the vehicle in our own collection. This one is not close. Eighty-eight thousand dollars of options is more than the entire purchase price of most vehicles we handle, and it went into places that took time rather than places that photograph well - three commissions through Q, leather across the headlining, a blue and orange interior nobody else would have the nerve to order, and carbon fiber applied to the upper and lower body as two separate packages. It is the single most specified car in our inventory, and the Monroney proves every line of it. Why Enthusiasts Value This Model Aston Martin approached the DBX as an engineering project rather than a badge exercise. It sits on a bespoke bonded aluminum structure built for this car alone, assembled at a facility in Wales constructed specifically to produce it, and it carries a chassis specification that would be ambitious on a sports car - triple-chamber air springs, adaptive dam>
