Selling my 2009 Ford Escape XLT with 192,534 miles. I have owned this Escape since 2013 and have kept up with regular maintenance throughout my ownership. It has been a dependable vehicle and has plenty of life left for someone looking for an affordable SUV, commuter, or project vehicle. The transmission was professionally rebuilt at approximately 139,000 miles in 2018, so it has significantly fewer miles on the rebuilt transmission than the vehicle itself. The tires are in good condition and appear to have plenty of usable tread remaining. There are a couple of known issues that I want to be upfront about. The vehicle has an oil leak. I had it looked at by a local shop, and they indicated that it is not considered urgent, although it will eventually need to be addressed. The brake master cylinder needs repair, and as a result, the brake pedal feels squishy and the brakes should be serviced before the vehicle is driven regularly. This is a used vehicle with nearly 193,000 miles, so it is being sold with the understanding that it will need some work. That said, it has a solid maintenance history, a rebuilt transmission, good tires, and has been in my possession for more than a decade. A good opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined or looking for an affordable SUV and is willing to put some work into it. Selling as-is. Serious inquiries welcome.
