1997 Rio Red Mustang SVT Cobra coupe, 146,497 miles. Bought in 1999 at ~5,000 miles; owned ever since. Rust-free San Diego car; never wrecked or track/drag raced. CA Smog / CARB compliant. Major refresh/restomod started five years ago; under 1,000 miles since. Runs, drives, and handles exceptionally well. Original Teksid aluminum-block 4.6 DOHC and transmission; engine internals have never been opened. A recent Ford relative-compression test showed no measurable cylinder imbalance, and it recently passed California smog. Clutch has under 15,000 miles. Within 500 miles: plugs, MSD coils/wires, injectors/connectors, Ford O2 sensors and power-steering pump, alternator, pulleys/belt, valve-cover/intake gaskets, plug seals, serviced IMRCs, fuel filter, and harness rewrap. JBA shorty headers, Magnaflow X-pipe, Flowmaster exhaust, and cold-air intake; CARB-compliant where applicable. Complete Maximum Motorsports Max Grip package. Includes: tubular K-member, 4-corner coilovers, HD shocks/struts, torque arm, panhard bar, adjustable rear sway bar, full-length subframe connectors, caster/camber plates, strut brace, and solid steering shaft. Flat, composed, and predictable, with substantially modernized geometry. Also: Eaton Truetrac, Strange 31-spline axles, Ford 3.73 gears, AFS Cobra-style wheels (9 front/10.5 rear), and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Timken wheel bearings and brake service completed about 1,000 miles ago. Repainted in original Rio Red within five years, with glass and weatherstripping replaced. Interior: Dynamat, TMI leather/foam front seats, upgraded carpet, leather steering wheel/door inserts, dual-cupholder console, Sony stereo, and cold A/C. All electronics work. Known cosmetics (see pics): visible roof-chip repair, passenger dash crack, minor door-insert lifting, aging tint, wheel clearcoat/curb wear, rear-seat creasing, cracked visor mirror, and peeling lock paint.
