The 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Rebel equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 delivers a bold mix of off-road capability, muscular performance, and everyday comfort. Its 395-horsepower V8 and smooth eight-speed automatic transmission provide strong acceleration and confident towing, while the Rebel-specific upgrades such as Bilstein shocks, a 1-inch factory lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and an Anti-Spin rear differential give it impressive composure on rugged terrain. Reviewers note that the Rebel handles deep ruts, sand, and uneven trails with ease, maintaining traction even when wheels lift off the ground. Inside, the Crew Cab layout offers generous passenger space and a cabin that feels both tough and refined, with features like the 8.4-inch Uconnect system, dual-zone climate control, remote start, and a premium gauge cluster added for 2017. Car and Driver Despite its aggressive stance and off-road hardware, the Rebel remains smooth and quiet on pavement, benefiting from the Ram 1500 s class-leading ride quality. While the interior design shows its age compared to newer rivals, owners consistently praise the truck s comfort, power, and overall reliability. Altogether, the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel V8 stands out as a truck that looks tough, drives confidently in all conditions, and blends rugged capability with everyday usability.
