2008 BMW 3-Series AWD Coupe, 3.0 L straight six-cylinder engine w/ six-speed manual transmission. History: I bought this certified pre-owned in Feb. 2012 (original listing shown in photos), and it's been my daily driver ever since. For its first 10 years with me, my commute was local, and miles went on slowly. Over the last 4 years, my commute was a bit longer (~40 miles), meaning recent maintenance intervals have been much shorter which will benefit whoever buys this car. Drive: This is just a great car, and a joy to drive. The naturally aspirated engine revs smoothly, and sounds great. The stick shift makes it super engaging, and feel fast, sporty, and just fun overall. The suspension is typical BMW precise, and flat around the corners. I've also had to do some recent suspension repairs, so it absorbs bumps like a much younger car. AWD: This is an XDrive coupe. It really does handle just like an RWD, but the AWD makes it a true all-season car that will never leave you stranded. I've heard all the hype about snow tires making more of a difference than AWD. In my experience, it's nonsense. This car is a monster in the snow, even on its ultra high-performance all-season tires, and gets me up and down my very steep driveway in all conditions with zero drama. One other point to note - though this car is a 2008, it had a fluke failure in its XDrive transfer case in 2021, which required it to be fully replaced. As a result, the XDrive system is essentially six years old, and should outlive the rest of the car. Wheels/Tires: In 2020, I changed to 18x8 Enkei Tuning Raijins in Gunmetal color from TireRack. They look terrific - enough to get several unsolicited compliments. The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (all-seasons) 225/40 ZR 18 with ~10k miles (mostly highway). With the car, you'll also get the original 17&quot; OEM wheels, which have some older Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's on them as well. Maintenance: See bulleted summary in photos section.
