Perfect Auto Collection Signature Listing 2017 Bentley Flying Spur V8 S VIN SCBEH9ZA7HC059722 | 23,560 miles A Flying Spur is built to be traveled in. The V8 S is the one Bentley built for the owner who intends to keep the keys. Why We Acquired This Vehicle The Flying Spur is Bentley's four-door grand tourer, and this second generation is the one that dropped the Continental name from the model entirely - a signal from Crewe that it was to be judged as its own car rather than as a sedan derived from the coupe. The V8 S sits above the standard V8, with more power and a firmer, more responsive chassis calibration. It is the version aimed squarely at the owner who does the driving rather than the owner who sits in the back, without giving up anything in the rear compartment for the times when the roles reverse. What made this example worth taking is the coherence of how it was ordered. It is black on black on black - the paint, the hide, the wheels, and the lamp lenses all darkened, with the exterior brightwork deliberately taken out of the equation years before Bentley began offering that treatment as a factory package. The rest of the specification follows the same logic and goes to the things an owner actually experiences: the audio, the roof, the driving aids, and the small hand-finished details inside and under the hood. The verified appointments are detailed in full below. It is finished in Beluga Solid over a Beluga interior - Bentley's deep, unmetallic black, which on a car of this length reads as formal and slightly sinister rather than merely dark. At 23,560 miles across eight years it has been used sparingly and shows the kind of history we look for in a car of this weight and complexity: driven regularly enough to stay healthy, never hard enough to be worn out. We ask a quieter question: how does it present, and would we be proud to place it in our own collection? This Flying Spur answers before it is started. An all-Beluga car with darkened lamps and dark wheels is a difficult specification to get right - done carelessly it looks like an airport car, and done well it looks like nothing else on the road. This one is the second. The proportions carry the color, the hide inside is deep enough to give a monochrome cabin texture rather than flatness, and the whole car reads as a single considered decision rather than a set of boxes checked at random. Add the S chassis and the V8 underneath, and it is a Bentley we are entirely comfortable putting our name against. Why Enthusiasts Value This Model Bentley builds two kinds of fast four-door car, and the informed argument has always been about which engine belongs in this one. The W12 has the prestige and the outright numbers. The V8 has less mass over the front axle, and the difference is felt in the first corner - the car turns in more willingly and feels lighter on its feet without giving up the effortlessness that is the entire point of a Bentley. The S specification then adds power and a firmer chassis on top of that advantage. The other half of the appeal is how these cars are made. Fl>
