Perfect Auto Collection Signature Listing 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider VIN ZFF68NHA1D | 18,446 miles Lower the roof on a naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 and you understand, in about three seconds, why some people never wanted turbochargers at all. Why We Acquired This Vehicle The 458 Spider is already regarded as a modern Ferrari landmark - one of the last of the great naturally aspirated V8 berlinettas, and in open form the purest way to experience the engine that made the car a benchmark. Its folding aluminum hardtop preserves the coupe's lines and rigidity, so nothing is surrendered for the open sky above. This example arrived with its original Ferrari Monroney label, which is how we know exactly how it was specified. It left Maranello at a delivered price of $292,430 against a $257,412 base - roughly $31,000 in added options - including the carbon fiber steering wheel with LED shift lights, Scuderia Ferrari shields, carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, and a leather headliner. The verified appointments are detailed in full below. Finished in Corsa Red over a Beige interior - Ferrari's racing red against warm tan - this is a 458 Spider wearing the marque's most historic color over a light, elegant cabin. At 18,446 miles it has been driven as intended and cared for while being used. We ask a simpler question: does it stir something, and would we be proud to keep it in our own collection? This 458 Spider answered quickly. Its verified options reflect a car ordered as a driver's Ferrari - the carbon steering wheel putting the car's racing intent literally in your hands, the sport exhaust sharpening an already-glorious voice. Combined with Corsa Red over Beige and a roof that folds away, the result is emotional, uncompromising, and unmistakably Ferrari - and increasingly rare as the last naturally aspirated V8 of its kind. Why Enthusiasts Value This Model The 458 sits at a turning point in Ferrari history. It was the final V8 Ferrari to breathe naturally, without turbochargers, and its 4.5-liter engine revs to a spine-tingling 9,000 rpm with a voice that later turbocharged cars simply cannot match. The Spider adds the one thing that makes that voice even more intoxicating: an open roof. Informed buyers prize it for exactly that reason - the immediacy of the throttle, the razor-sharp dual-clutch shifts, and a naturally aspirated wail that ended with this generation. As the turbocharged and hybrid eras move Ferrari further from it, the naturally aspirated 458 becomes increasingly the one enthusiasts seek out. That is why a car's specific options matter. They separate a thoughtfully ordered 458 Spider from a generic one and tell a buyer exactly how this example was built. Factory and Vehicle Highlights Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel with LED Shift Lights The steering wheel is finished in carbon fiber and carries the LED shift-indicator lights Ferrari builds across the top of the rim, a $4,890 option.
