The difference-maker here is 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Mercedes-Benz never offered 4MATIC on the E550 Coupe or on any E-Class Cabriolet, and the majority of E350 Coupes left Bremen with rear-wheel drive, which makes an all-wheel-drive car a smaller slice of the production run and a far more usable proposition in a climate with real winters. The coupe also keeps one of the details that has defined Mercedes-Benz two-doors since the 1960s: a pillarless side profile with no B-pillar and frameless door glass. Drop all four windows and the entire side of the cabin opens up, with the low wind noise that comes from a properly sealed hardtop when it's closed. The panoramic sunroof overhead adds to that. Inside, the black leather interior includes heated front seats and navigation through the COMAND system and its console-mounted controller. This car also carries the LED lighting package, which replaces the standard headlamps with full LED units and gives the front end the sharper signature that the 2014 redesign was built around. The E-Class Coupe was never built as a volume car, and Mercedes-Benz never produced a full AMG version of this generation, so a sport-equipped E350 4MATIC represents about as aggressive as the C207 was offered from the factory.
