Selling my 2002 BMW E46 M3 Convertible with SMG transmission and approximately 120,000 miles. The car runs and drives well and has been a great driver/enthusiast car. I recently had the parasitic battery drain diagnosed and repaired, and the car has recently passed California smog. The car is being sold as a driver-quality E46 M3. It has cosmetic wear consistent with its age and mileage, but mechanically it runs and drives well. * Approximately 120,000 miles * S54 3.2L inline-6 * SMG transmission * Power convertible top * Parasitic battery drain diagnosed and repaired * Recently smogged in California * Runs and drives well * Clean California title **Known issues:** The rear differential has a long-standing moaning/groaning noise, primarily when cold. The noise decreases substantially once the car warms up and has been driven. This has been present for approximately 15 years. My mechanic believes the differential will eventually need a rebuild, although it currently functions normally. The car also has cosmetic wear, including paint oxidation and scratches, some wear/scratches on the leather seats, an older/worn steering wheel, and a cracked/worn entertainment/navigation screen. Parasitic drain was due to the Nav unit and CD player in the truck, and they have been disabled to stop the drain. I am being upfront about the condition because I would rather the buyer know exactly what they are getting. This is a 120,000-mile, 24-year-old E46 M3 and is not being represented as a collector-quality example. It is a good-running enthusiast car that can be enjoyed as-is or gradually improved.
