Perfect Auto Collection Signature Listing 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost VIN SCA664S51CUX51069 | 23,388 miles Theater screens in the back and massage seats in the front. This owner had not decided which seat was theirs. Why We Acquired This Vehicle The Ghost is the car that changed Rolls-Royce. Where the Phantom was a statement bought almost entirely to be ridden in, the Ghost was conceived as something an owner might drive themselves - shorter, more responsive, and considerably less formal. It outsold the Phantom immediately and became the foundation the modern company was rebuilt on. Underneath sits a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 563 horsepower and 575 lb-ft, with peak torque available from 1,500 rpm and an eight-speed automatic behind it. The body is a steel monocoque with an aluminum hood, riding on self-levelling air springs with anti-roll stabilization and electronic variable damping, and it was assembled at Goodwood in Chichester. This example arrived with its original Monroney, which records a $250,000 base and a total suggested retail of $299,985 - very nearly fifty thousand dollars of options and charges. It is finished in Diamond Black over Seashell with black contrast, and the order covers both halves of the car: rear theater screens for passengers and massage seats for whoever is driving. At 23,388 miles it has been used sparingly and kept properly. The verified appointments are detailed in full below. We ask a different question: does it feel like it was made rather than manufactured, and would we be proud to keep it in our own collection? What we find telling here is that the order refuses to choose. Rear theater screens and picnic tables say the back seat was meant to be occupied; massage and ventilation in the front say the owner expected to drive it themselves. Very few cars of this kind are specified in both directions, and it suggests somebody who understood that the Ghost was the Rolls-Royce you could do either with. The Monroney backs every line of it, and it reconciles exactly - base, options, and charges to the dollar. Why Enthusiasts Value This Model The first-generation Ghost occupies a specific place in the marque's history. It was the model that took Rolls-Royce from a very small company building a single flagship into a business with real volume, and it did so by making the brand accessible to owners who intended to drive rather than be driven. Everything that followed at Goodwood was built on what this car proved. The engineering is more serious than the car's calm suggests.
