===== 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S: 6-Speed Manual, Arctic Silver, Widebody, Sport Techno Wheels, Extensive Service History ===== This *2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S* is finished in timeless *Arctic Silver Metallic* over *Black Full Leather* and combines some of the 996 generation's most desirable elements: a *6-speed manual transmission, all-wheel drive, Turbo-derived widebody styling, naturally aspirated flat-six power, and 18-inch Sport Techno wheels*. Originally priced at *$87,310*, the Carrera 4S was never simply another Carrera. Porsche gave it the unmistakable wide rear bodywork, chassis presence, braking capability, and visual attitude associated with the 996 Turbo, then paired it with a naturally aspirated Carrera powertrain. More than two decades later, that formula has aged extremely well. ==== The 996 Everyone Came Back Around To ==== The 996 has gone through one of the most interesting reputational shifts of any modern Porsche. What was once viewed primarily as the controversial water-cooled 911 is now appreciated for what it offers: *compact dimensions, hydraulic steering, a naturally aspirated flat-six, a mechanical driving experience, and a design that marks a distinct period in Porsche history*. Within that generation, the *Carrera 4S occupies a sweet spot*. You get the visual drama of the Turbo body without the car's character being dominated by forced induction. The naturally aspirated engine, manual transmission, and all-wheel-drive chassis create a 911 that feels responsive, approachable, and distinctly old-school compared with newer generations. ==== The Widebody Makes the Car ==== Park a standard 996 Carrera next to a Carrera 4S and the difference is immediate. The C4S uses the *wide Turbo-style body*, giving the rear a muscular stance that has become one of the 996 generation's most recognizable looks. The full-width rear reflector visually ties the taillights together, while the wider rear quarters give the C4S a presence the narrow-body Carrera simply lacks. Finished in *Arctic Silver Metallic*, those shapes are especially easy to appreciate. This example is further distinguished by the factory *18-inch Sport Techno wheels*, an excellent period-correct wheel that fits the C4S beautifully. ==== Naturally Aspirated Flat-Six and Manual Gearbox ==== Behind the rear axle sits Porsche's *3.6-liter naturally aspirated flat-six*, delivering the immediate throttle response and linear power delivery that define this era of 911. Paired with a *6-speed manual transmission*, the car gives the driver direct control. It has no drive-mode menus or layers of electronic configuration to enjoy. The appeal is mechanical: steering feedback, clutch, shifter, engine response, and the unique balance of a rear-engined 911. The all-wheel-drive system adds another dimension, giving the C4S tremendous confidence while retaining the character that makes a 911 feel like a 911. ==== Arctic Silver Over Black Full Leather ==== The specification is classic Porsche. *Arctic Silver Metallic* is paired with a *Black Full Leather interior*, creating a restrained combination that suits the 996 exceptionally well. Factory equipment includes: Black Full Leather interior 18-inch Sport Techno wheels Aluminum/Chrome interior and exterior detailing package This car doesn't need an elaborate option list to make sense. The C4S body, manual transmission, color combination, and wheels do most of the work. ==== An Exceptionally Detailed Service History ==== The CARFAX is one of this car's strongest selling points. It shows: 29 service history records 6 previous owners No accidents or damage reported No total loss r>
