The Saab has been a restoration project of mine over the last 19 years since purchasing it from my brother in July of 2007 with 116,143 easy miles on it. In the last 19 years, I have put less 4,000 miles on it for restoration and it was always stored in my parent's garage. Saab originally sold it to an airline stewardess and after a couple years traded it in for a new one, and then it was sold by the same dealership to my CPA brother and then to me (also an old CPA). I took it to the Saab dealership for many new original parts installations, and then I continued my restoration with Golz motors in Deerfield IL. It has always had Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil in it and does not appear to burn any. It rolls like new and turns heads! The list of new OEM items is too long to list all: new steering wheel, suspension, control arms, shocks, struts, springs, all four wheel bearings in complete SAAB OEM hubs (done at the dealership and now rolls like new), full brakes, brake lines, aluminum wheels, exhaust, interior ceiling liner, belts, hoses, spark plugs, fuel filter, interior air filter, flush radiator and transmission fluids, etc... I also went to ABT somewhere along the line and put a remote starter in it. It is over 25 years old, so it is officially considered an antique in the eyes of our state. It is now mechanically a reliable daily driver good for another 100k miles. I am selling it as my folks house is now sold in an estate sale and we must move it out and I will not have room at my place. I have about $14k into it, so this would be a great deal for the buyer. There were a few items not crossed off the restoration list, like fixing the cruise control and a/c and mini rear hatch brake bulbs. There are a couple small surface rust spots starting around the rear wheel wells which would be part of a new paint job if I were to fully restore it to all its glory. Please email with any questions. Thank you for looking
