2008 Ford Escape Hybrid, 225,000 miles. One owner for the last 16 years, with receipts for every repair and service done in that time. Clean title, both keys, registered through April 2027. High mileage, but it runs well and drives smooth and quiet. It has never had a problem passing smog. Recent work: fuel pump and A/C compressor replaced. LED headlights, much brighter than stock. I've run Valvoline Restore &amp; Protect for the last 20k miles. Stock head unit with upgraded front speakers and Dynamat; it sounds far better than it has any right to, with real bass. What it needs, in the interest of being completely upfront: The hybrid system works as it should; the issue is that the traction battery is original and showing its age. The car still gets 26-27 mpg, but the battery doesn't assist acceleration like it used to, and it doesn't hold a charge for long when parked. If you drive it every 2-3 days, it's a non-issue. After 4-5 days of sitting, you press the jump-start button on the side of the dash, which charges the traction battery from the 12V for about 8 minutes, and then it starts. After 6+ days, you'll likely need to connect another car to the 12V and run that button once or twice. A replacement pack is the one real project this car has waiting for it, and with a fresh pack it would be a very solid daily driver. Brakes are getting close; my mechanic rated them &quot;yellow&quot; at the last visit. Tires: three measure 3.5-4 mm (about 5/32), one is at 2 mm and near the wear bars, so plan on tires before long. The TPMS sensor batteries are due, so a tire pressure warning comes on after 30-45 minutes of driving. It can be ignored until the sensors are replaced. I'll include the Bluetooth adapter, magnetic phone mount, and all the spare filters, wipers, and other accessories I have on hand.
