EFFICIENT, PIONEERING, ZERO-EMISSIONS, GENUINE ALL-ELECTRIC CAPABILITY! Before electric cars were commonplace, Volkswagen built the e-Golf to prove a battery-powered hatchback could still feel like a genuine Golf. Finished in Reflex Silver Metallic, this SEL Premium was the only trim offered for the model's launch year, meaning this example came loaded with virtually every feature VW offered on its first modern EV. Why Shoppers Buy This Model The e-Golf earned a loyal following by refusing to compromise on what made the Golf a beloved hatchback in the first place: composed handling, a refined cabin, and genuine everyday usability, just powered by electrons instead of gasoline. Its instant electric torque makes it feel noticeably peppier off the line than its modest horsepower figure suggests, and owners consistently praise its familiar, well-built interior over the more utilitarian cabins found in other early EVs of its era. As one of the first mainstream EVs to include DC fast charging as standard equipment, the e-Golf offered genuine real-world usability that some rivals from the same period still lacked. Warranty Registered new on June 28, 2017, this e-Golf shows 55,137 miles today. Given how much time has passed since then, the factory Basic, Powertrain, and High-Voltage System warranties -- including the high-voltage battery's original 8-year/100,000-mile coverage -- have all expired. One piece of factory coverage does remain active: Corrosion Perforation Warranty -- covers rust-through on body panels, transferable to subsequent owners. Expiration: June 28, 2029, with no mileage limit. Since the factory battery warranty has expired, we'd recommend having the high-voltage battery's remaining capacity checked before purchase so you know exactly what range to expect day to day. Ask about our available extended service plans as well. Standard Features SEL Premium was the exclusive trim for the e-Golf's launch, meaning every 2015 e-Golf came standard with the kind of equipment other manufacturers reserved for their top-tier EV trims: navigation, a rearview camera, heated front seats, LED lighting, and Bluetooth audio streaming, all bundled into one well-equipped package rather than a confusing options list. Mechanical Features Power comes from an 85-kW (115-horsepower) electric motor producing 199 lb-ft of instant torque, delivered through a single-speed direct-drive transmission that makes acceleration feel smooth and immediate with none of the shift shock of a traditional automatic. The 24.2-kWh lithium-ion battery was rated at 83 miles of EPA range when new, though actual range on any nine-plus-year-old EV will depend on the battery's current health. This e-Golf came from the factory with DC fast charging built in, capable of an 80% charge in roughly 30 minutes at a compatible CCS station, in addition to a 7.2-kW onboard charger that fully recharges the battery in about four hours on a 240-volt Level 2 charging station. Exterior Features Reflex Silver Metallic gives this e-Golf a clean, understated look that lets its distinctive LED lighting signature do the talking. Unique LED daytime running lights, LED headlights, and a subtly different grille distinguish the e-Golf from its gasoline-powered Golf siblings, while its familiar hatchback proportions mean it never looks like it's trying too hard to announce its electric powertrain. Interior Features Step inside and the cabin feels immediately familiar to anyone who's sat in a gas-powered Golf, with the same attention to fit and finish VW built its reputation on. Heated front seats add real comfort on cold mornings, a genuine rarity for an EV at this price point when the e-Golf launched, while the cabin's 22.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats keeps everyday hatchback practicality intact. Infotainment Features A touchscreen infotainment system includes built-in navigation and satellite radio integration, while >
