With a proven V8 engine, automatic transmission, and a 6 -foot bed, this truck is built for buyers who need a vehicle that gets the job done without paying for bells and whistles they'll never use. ===== About This 2003 Ford F-150 Super Cab ===== At 158,585 miles, this 2003 Ford F-150 is well into its working years and that's exactly what makes the F-150 such a compelling used truck choice. Ford's tenth-generation F-150, produced from 1997 through 2003, earned a legendary reputation for durability, and examples with 150,000-plus miles that were properly maintained still have plenty of life left in them. The Super Cab configuration gives you extra rear-seat space or storage behind the front seats, making this more versatile than a standard Regular Cab useful for tools, gear, or occasional passengers. Stock #8008 is a straightforward, 2WD work truck that's ideal for buyers in Marin County and throughout the Bay Area who don't need four-wheel drive for daily use. ===== 2003 Ford F-150 Performance and Engine ===== Under the hood of this F-150 is Ford's 4.6-liter V8 a Romeo or Windsor-block engine depending on the production run paired with a smooth automatic transmission. The 4.6L V8 produces around 231 horsepower and 293 lb-ft of torque in this generation, giving this truck genuine towing and hauling capability. It can tow up to approximately 7,700 lbs when properly equipped, making it more than capable of pulling a trailer, boat, or equipment. The rear-wheel-drive (2WD) setup keeps it lightweight and efficient for everyday driving around Novato and Marin County, where off-road capability is rarely a priority. The combination of V8 power and automatic transmission makes this truck smooth and predictable on the highway whether you're heading across the Richmond Bridge or running up Highway 101. ===== Ford F-150 Features and Interior ===== ==== XL Trim Built for Work ==== The XL is Ford's base trim, designed with one goal in mind: function over form. That means you get a durable, easy-to-clean interior that holds up to the demands of a working truck. The 6 -foot bed is the sweet spot for most buyers long enough for full sheets of plywood or lumber with the tailgate down, but manageable enough in parking lots and job sites. The Super Cab body style adds rear-hinged half-doors and a usable rear seating area, giving you the option to carry an extra passenger or stow equipment securely out of the weather. ===== Ford F-150 Reliability and Ownership ===== The 2003 Ford F-150 has one of the strongest reliability reputations of any truck from its era.
