With just under 45,000 miles on the clock, a 5-speed manual transmission, and one of the most distinctive color packages the Sky ever wore, this is a collector-worthy sports car at an everyday price. ===== About This 2009 Saturn Sky Ruby Red SE ===== The Ruby Red edition of the Saturn Sky was a limited-production special that gave the already eye-catching roadster a bold, deep red exterior finish paired with a uniquely themed interior making it one of the most sought-after configurations in the entire Sky lineup. Finding one in this condition, with only 44,964 miles, is genuinely uncommon. At this mileage, the car has been barely broken in by sports car standards. It's had enough miles to work out any early quirks, but it's well within the range where mechanical components are still fresh and the interior shows minimal wear. Whether you're a driving enthusiast or a collector looking to add a piece of GM's final chapter to your garage, this Sky checks every box. ===== 2009 Saturn Sky Performance and Engine ===== ==== ECOTEC 2.4L Four-Cylinder Power ==== Under the hood, this Sky SE is motivated by GM's proven ECOTEC 2.4L inline four-cylinder engine, producing 173 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque. In a car that weighs just over 2,900 pounds, those numbers translate to genuinely spirited performance especially in a rear-wheel-drive layout that keeps the driving experience honest and engaging. ==== 5-Speed Manual Transmission and RWD Dynamics ==== Paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this Sky rewards drivers who actually want to drive. The short-throw shifter and rear-wheel-drive configuration give it a connected, analog feel that's increasingly rare in today's market. Open up the convertible top, drop it into second gear on a canyon road, and you'll understand immediately why enthusiasts still talk about the Sky as one of GM's most underrated products. For Southern California drivers who love the Pacific Coast Highway or the winding roads heading out of the Inland Empire, this setup is a perfect match. ===== Saturn Sky Ruby Red Features and Interior ===== The Ruby Red SE trim brought a cohesive styling package inside and out, with a themed interior that complemented the exterior color scheme. The Sky's cockpit is tight, driver-focused, and intentional there's nothing extraneous here. You get a low-slung driving position, a wind-deflecting design when the top is down, and enough comfort for daily use or weekend canyon runs. The convertible soft top operates smoothly and seals well for a car of this generation, and the overall ergonomics put the driver front and center in every sense. ===== Saturn Sky Reliability and Ownership ===== The Saturn Sky shares its Kappa platform with the Pontiac Solstice, and both cars have earned a reputation for solid mechanical reliability when properly maintained. The ECOTEC engine family is one of GM's most durable four-cylinder offerings it's been used across dozens of vehicles and has a strong track record for longevity. At 44,964 miles, this engine is well within its prime life. Common ownership notes include keeping up with oil changes, checking the soft top seals periodically, and ensuring the cooling system stays fresh all routine items for a well-loved roadster.
