The E60 M5 stands apart as one of the most ambitious performance sedans BMW M has ever produced. At its heart is the S85 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10, an engine developed during BMW's Formula 1 era and unlike anything used in an M5 before or since. For the North American market, BMW went a step further by offering something unavailable in most of the world: a traditional six-speed manual transmission. Finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over Black leather, this 2008 BMW M5 shows 57,878 miles and is one of those desirable factory manual examples. BMW production records confirm the car was completed at Dingolfing on December 12, 2007, equipped from the factory with the S85 V10, rear-wheel drive, and manual transmission. E60 M5 Build Sheet - CX10228 Its specification extends well beyond the drivetrain. Factory equipment includes M multifunction seats with active backrest width adjustment, heated seats, heated steering wheel, Comfort Access, Professional Navigation, Head-Up Display, Individual Audio, Park Distance Control, Adaptive Xenon headlights, satellite and HD radio, USB audio interface, rear and side sunshades, an electric glass sunroof, anthracite headliner, and Madeira Nutwood interior trim. BMW's build information also notes that the vehicle has no recorded retrofits. E60 M5 Build Sheet - CX10228 The accompanying CARFAX documents three owners and reports no accidents or damage, no structural damage, no airbag deployment, no indication of an odometer rollback, and no branded title history. E60 M5 CX10228 CARFAX Vehicle H... The M5 was initially sold in late 2008 and spent its early life in Florida and North Carolina before passing to its second owner in 2016. Its third owner acquired the car in 2019 at 56,602 miles and retained it for more than seven years, during which the car accumulated remarkably little mileage. CARFAX estimates that final owner's usage at just 174 miles per year. E60 M5 CX10228 CARFAX Vehicle H... E60 M5 CX10228 CARFAX Vehicle H... Now showing just 57,878 miles, this E60 brings together two attributes that define the model at its best: the extraordinary S85 V10 and the involvement of a traditional three-pedal manual gearbox. Prior to being offered for sale, it will undergo Enthusiast Auto Group's comprehensive inspection and preservation process, with any identified maintenance or preservation needs addressed accordingly. For the enthusiast who wants to experience the E60 M5 in one of its purest configurations, this Black Sapphire example offers the rare combination of V10 power, six-speed manual engagement, a highly optioned specification, and limited use under its long-term previous owner.
