ADVENTUROUS, VIBRANT, TRAIL RATED, OFF-LEASE, NO-ACCIDENT, NONSMOKER, BIG JEEP CAPABILITY IN A COMPACT PACKAGE! The 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk proves that you do not need a full-size SUV to enjoy genuine Jeep capability. This off-lease, no-accident example is finished in eye-catching Spitfire Orange over a Black and Ruby Red interior, and it has been driven remarkably little for its age, hovering around the 44,600-mile mark with a well-documented history of 16 service records. As the most capable Compass in the lineup, the Trailhawk wears Jeep's Trail Rated badge, earned by passing demanding tests for traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation, and water fording. Its Jeep Active Drive Low four-wheel-drive system provides a 20:1 crawl ratio for slow, controlled climbing over rocks and steep terrain, while its raised ride height and underbody skid plates let you explore trails with confidence -- and still enjoy the comfort and efficiency of a compact SUV on the drive home. Why Shoppers Buy This Model The second-generation Compass arrived for 2017 with an all-new design that looks like a scaled-down Grand Cherokee, bringing premium styling and genuine Jeep character to the compact SUV segment. Its seven-slot grille, sculpted body, and upscale interior give it far more presence than many rivals, while its compact size makes it easy to park and maneuver in town. What truly sets the Compass apart is its Jeep capability. While most compact SUVs are designed purely for pavement, the Compass Trailhawk adds real off-road hardware that lets owners explore beaches, forest roads, and rugged trails without needing a larger, thirstier vehicle. For shoppers comparing the Subaru Crosstrek, Toyota RAV4, or Honda CR-V, the Compass Trailhawk stands apart with its genuine Trail Rated capability and unmistakable Jeep style. Automotive Press and Industry Recognition The automotive press welcomed the redesigned 2017 Compass as a dramatic improvement over its predecessor, praising its handsome, Grand Cherokee-inspired styling, its upscale cabin, and its intuitive Uconnect infotainment system. Reviewers were especially impressed by the Trailhawk's surprising off-road ability, noting that its Active Drive Low system, Rock mode, and generous approach and departure angles let it tackle trails that would stop most compact crossovers. Critics noted that the 2.4-liter engine favors efficiency over outright acceleration, but most agreed the Trailhawk delivers a uniquely capable, stylish package in its class. Warranty With 44,620 miles on the odometer and an original warranty start date of March 1, 2018, this Compass has completed the terms of its original Jeep factory warranties. At roughly 44,600 miles over more than eight years of service, this Compass has averaged well under 6,000 miles per year -- remarkably low use for its age. Its CARFAX history also shows 16 service records, a strong sign of consistent care and attention throughout its life. Extended service plans are available for buyers who want added peace of mind. Standard Features The Trailhawk is the Compass built specifically for off-road adventure, and it stands apart from the Latitude and Limited in nearly every way that matters on the trail. Jeep Active Drive Low adds low-range gearing with a 20:1 crawl ratio, while the Selec-Terrain traction management system gains an exclusive Rock mode alongside its Auto, Snow, Sand, and Mud settings. Hill Descent Control automatically manages speed on steep declines, so you can focus on steering. The Trailhawk also rides on a raised off-road suspension with 8.5 inches of ground clearance, reshaped front and rear fascias for improved approach and departure angles, underbody skid plates, red front and rear tow hooks, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, a black hood decal, and a contrasting black roof -- a complete package that looks as capable as it is.
