The SelectShift feature allows the driver to manually select gears when needed, giving you a bit more control on grades or when maneuvering with a loaded cargo bay. ===== Ford Transit Connect Features and Interior ===== ==== XL Trim Built for Business ==== The XL trim is the cargo-focused, no-nonsense configuration of the Transit Connect. The rear seating is removed in favor of a full cargo area, giving you maximum usable load space. The steering wheel-mounted controls and adjustable driver's seat make long days in the van considerably more comfortable than older commercial alternatives. The cargo bay itself is the real feature here: a flat load floor, wide rear doors, and available side cargo doors make loading and unloading efficient. For a van in this class, interior volume is genuinely competitive. ===== Ford Transit Connect Reliability and Ownership ===== The Transit Connect has built a strong reputation among small business owners, tradespeople, and fleet operators precisely because it delivers car-like driving dynamics with genuine van utility.
