Available now at Pristine Cars & Trucks in Marietta, in the heart of Cobb County, this 1.8T Dune edition brings adventure-ready style and turbocharged fun to one of the most iconic nameplates in automotive history. With 86,335 miles on the clock, it sits comfortably in a range where the car is well broken in but still has plenty of road left to cover. ===== About This 2017 Volkswagen Beetle Dune ===== The Dune trim is no ordinary Beetle. Volkswagen designed it as a nod to the classic Baja Bug off-road racers of the 1960s, giving it unique exterior styling cues including raised ride height, distinctive body accents, and bold alloy wheels that set it apart from the standard Beetle lineup. At 86,335 miles, this is a vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed exactly what a fun car like the Beetle is meant for. With proper maintenance history, these cars hold up exceptionally well into the six-figure mileage range. ===== 2017 Volkswagen Beetle Performance and Engine ===== Under the hood sits Volkswagen's well-regarded 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with Sport Mode and front-wheel drive. This powertrain combination delivers a genuinely enjoyable driving experience responsive off the line, smooth at highway speeds, and fuel-efficient enough for daily commuting around Cobb County and beyond. The Tiptronic transmission allows manual gear selection when you want a more engaged driving feel, making spirited drives on winding Georgia roads a real treat. Expect a healthy balance of performance and efficiency that surprises many first-time Beetle drivers. ===== Volkswagen Beetle Dune Features and Interior ===== The Dune trim brings a well-appointed interior that reflects the Beetle's signature charm. Expect a driver-focused cockpit with modern infotainment technology, comfortable seating, and the kind of thoughtful details VW is known for putting into even their entry-level vehicles. The Dune-specific touches extend inside as well, with unique trim elements that reinforce the adventure aesthetic. Whether you're navigating Marietta surface streets or cruising down I-75, the cabin stays composed and comfortable. ===== Volkswagen Beetle Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What Owners and Experts Say ==== The 2017 Volkswagen Beetle with the 1.8T engine earned solid marks for reliability, particularly compared to earlier turbocharged VW engines of the mid-2000s. The EA888 1.8T engine found in this generation Beetle matured significantly from its predecessors, addressing many of the oil consumption and timing chain concerns that plagued earlier variants. Owners consistently report strong engine longevity when routine maintenance oil changes, coolant service, and spark plug replacement is kept up to date. The six-speed Tiptronic automatic is a smooth, dependable unit with a long service life under normal driving conditions. ==== What to Expect at This Mileage ==== At 86,335 miles, this Beetle is approaching the interval where buyers should confirm timing belt or chain service has been addressed, along with any suspension wear items typical of a vehicle this age. Overall, the third-generation Beetle (2) is widely regarded as one of the more reliable and satisfying-to-own small cars from Volkswagen's modern lineup. ===== Why Buy From Pristine Cars & Trucks in Marietta, GA ===== Pristine Cars & Trucks, located in Marietta in Cobb County, has built a reputation around offering quality pre-owned vehicles to the greater Metro Atlanta community.
