I ordered a Dual Motor All-Wheel drive Cybertruck 9 months ago but ended up buying a 2027 Tesla Y. After I ordered the Cybertruck, its price increased quite a bit. Since I now have the Tesla Y, I'm looking at selling the Cybertruck when it arrives (delivery is scheduled mid-November to early December which may make it a 2027 model). The $72,990 is $4245 less than you can buy a new one. If you go to Tesla -- a new Dual Motor All-wheel Drive Cybertruck is $77,235 ($74,990 plus $2245 destination & order fee). You could either pick it up at the Tesla dealership with me with no miles on it, or I can drive it home (about 40 miles) and park it in the garage if you need to pick it up later. This version of the Cybertruck has the longest range and the same 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds as the premium model but these new Cybertrucks also have over a dozen fixes and hardware upgrades over the 2024 to early 2026 Cybertrucks. Here are some of the improvements: * Gen two 4680 batteries with longer life and faster charging * More reliable Power Conversion System (they failed a lot) * Stronger motor mounts increase reliability and sound isolation * Quieter more efficient drive unit with reduced vibration * New under body aero shielding is stronger and reduces drag * Improved side camera housing channels rain away * Upgraded windshield wiper motor for snow and ice * Softer/easier closing tailgate mechanism * New T2 tires with same grip but lower rolling resistance * Overall improved build quality and body tolerances The Cybertruck's 123 kw battery can now power an average home for 3 days. To match that home backup power, you'd have to buy 9 Tesla Powerwall Batteries which would cost about $60,000.
