====== ?? CAYMAN S 6-SPEED MANUAL PURE PORSCHE DRIVER'S CAR ?? ====== The original Cayman S formula at its best a naturally aspirated flat-six, mid-engine balance, and the increasingly rare connection of a true manual transmission. *2006 Porsche Cayman S Manual | Stock # SP783864* ---------------------------------------- There are faster modern Porsches. There are more technologically advanced Porsches. But the *2006 Porsche Cayman S* comes from an era when the experience itself was still the main event. This was the very beginning of the Cayman story in the United States, and Porsche got the formula remarkably right from the start: put a *naturally aspirated flat-six directly behind the driver, send the power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, and wrap everything in a rigid, beautifully balanced two-seat chassis.* No giant touchscreen. No drive-mode menu required before you can enjoy it. No software trying to manufacture character. Just you, three pedals, a shifter, and one of Porsche's best-balanced chassis. ---------------------------------------- ===== ?? Performance & Driving Dynamics ===== *3.4L naturally aspirated flat-six* *6-speed manual transmission* Rear-wheel drive Mid-engine layout for exceptional weight distribution and balance Sport-tuned Cayman S suspension Powerful four-wheel disc braking system Hydraulic steering with the direct road feel enthusiasts love The numbers are good. The way it communicates with the person driving it is better. ---------------------------------------- ===== ?? Driver-Focused Interior ===== Classic Porsche two-seat cockpit Supportive sport seating Leather-appointed interior Traditional analog instrumentation with center-mounted tachometer Automatic climate control Excellent driving position with controls centered around the driver It's refreshingly straightforward because the most important controls are the steering wheel, pedals, and shifter. ---------------------------------------- ===== ?? Technology & Everyday Usability ===== Upgraded Alpine audio system Power windows and mirrors Remote keyless entry Cruise control Front *and* rear luggage compartments Fixed-roof coupe construction for excellent chassis rigidity The Cayman has always had a hidden talent: it's far more practical than its sports-car proportions suggest. ---------------------------------------- ===== ?? Exterior Design & Presence ===== Original *987-generation Cayman* design Signature Porsche front fenders and sculpted rear haunches Low, purposeful mid-engine proportions Distinctive Cayman S styling Timeless profile that has aged beautifully Nearly two decades later, there's still nothing unnecessary about the design. ---------------------------------------- ===== ?? Safety & Driver Confidence ===== Porsche Stability Management Anti-lock braking system Four-wheel performance disc brakes Multiple airbag protection systems Exceptionally rigid fixed-roof chassis Mid-engine balance providing predictable handling characteristics The Cayman gives you confidence through engineering rather than isolation from the road. ---------------------------------------- ===== ?? Condition & Distinction ===== *First-year 2006 Cayman S* Desirable *6-speed manual transmission* Naturally aspirated *3.4L flat-six* Mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive Porsche architecture Aggressive aftermarket exhaust Hydraulic steering and analog-era driving character An increasingly difficult combination to find in modern performance c>
