Perfect Auto Collection Signature Listing 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS VIN WP0AF2A95GS187150 | 14,075 miles A 4.0-liter flat-six that revs to 8,800 rpm, a magnesium roof, and a fire extinguisher on the options list. Porsche was not being subtle about what this car is for. Why We Acquired This Vehicle The 991 GT3 RS is the car where Porsche's GT department stopped compromising. It took the wide Turbo body, fitted a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six producing 500 horsepower at 8,250 rpm with a redline at 8,800, added rear-axle steering, and then removed weight everywhere it could - a magnesium roof, carbon fiber front hood and engine cover, and polycarbonate rear glass. The window sticker for this car records a retail price of $208,975, and the option list tells you plainly what the original owner intended. Ceramic composite brakes, the Sport Chrono Package with Porsche's Track Precision App, the extended-range 23.9-gallon fuel tank, and a fire extinguisher - a specification assembled by somebody who planned to use the car where it was designed to be used. Then there is the front axle lift, which is the option that makes all of the above livable on a road. It is finished in Lava Orange over a black and Lava Orange interior with matching seat belts, on satin black wheels. At 14,075 miles it has been driven and enjoyed rather than stored. The verified appointments are detailed in full below. We ask a quieter question: how does it present, and would we be proud to place it in our own collection? What we like here is that the order is completely honest about itself. Ceramic brakes, the lap timer package, the big fuel tank, and an extinguisher say one thing; the front axle lift and the navigation say another; and the Lava Orange over matching orange belts says the owner was not interested in being discreet about any of it. Nothing was ordered to protect resale value. This is a GT3 RS specified by somebody who wanted a GT3 RS, and that is the only kind worth having. Why Enthusiasts Value This Model The 991 GT3 RS was a series of firsts for the model line. It was the first RS with a 4.0-liter engine, the first with rear-axle steering, and the first to use the wide Turbo body shell - and it remains one of the very few road cars with a magnesium roof panel, a material Porsche chose specifically to take weight from the highest point on the car. The engine is what people remember. A naturally aspirated flat-six making 500 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and revving to 8,800 is a specification the industry has largely abandoned, and Porsche's GT department has never turbocharged a GT3 or GT3 RS sin>
