SPUNKY, ALL-WHEEL DRIVE, TURBOCHARGED, ONE-OWNER, LOCALLY OWNED, NONSMOKER, BIG PERSONALITY IN A BOLD RED PACKAGE! MINI took everything people love about its small cars and stretched it into a roomier, more practical body, and the Countryman Cooper S ALL4 is the result. This 2016 example wears Chili Red paint with a contrasting white roof, white mirror caps, and white bonnet stripes, and it arrives as a one-owner, locally owned MINI with about 66,600 miles on the odometer. Power comes from a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder making 181 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, and it reaches all four wheels through MINI's ALL4 all-wheel-drive system. The payoff is zippy acceleration, sharp, go-kart-style cornering, and the extra traction that makes a small SUV feel confident on wet roads, snowy mornings, and gravel drives. Just as important, this Countryman has four doors, room for five, and a hatchback cargo area, so the same car that is a blast on a winding road can also handle the daily commute, the grocery run, and a weekend away. Why Shoppers Buy This Model The Countryman gives MINI fans something the two-door hatch cannot: space for friends, family, and gear. The rear seat is genuinely roomy, with nearly 34 inches of rear legroom, the 40/60 split-folding rear seat opens up flexible cargo room, and the available ALL4 all-wheel drive makes it a year-round vehicle. It does all of this while keeping the playful, personality-packed cabin and the confident handling that MINI is known for. Shoppers usually cross-shop it with the Mazda CX-3, the Honda HR-V, the Subaru Crosstrek, and the Fiat 500X, and the Countryman tends to stand out for its premium feel, its sporty driving character, and its unmistakable style. It is a small SUV for buyers who would rather drive something with attitude than something forgettable. Automotive Press and Industry Recognition Reviewers have consistently praised the Countryman for delivering the look, premium appeal, and lively attitude of a MINI in a larger, more practical package. Kelley Blue Book's experts highlighted its sharp cornering, firm steering, and zippy acceleration, especially in the turbocharged versions, as well as the distinctive, playful interior with its prominent center-mounted speedometer. They also pointed to the added traction of ALL4 all-wheel drive on the Cooper S and the genuine five-passenger accommodations that make the Countryman more practical than its two-door siblings. Warranty This Countryman shows 66,595 miles on the odometer, a figure that works out to light, steady use of roughly 6,300 miles per year over its ten-plus years on the road. Service records add to the confidence, with 25 service history records reported, including regular oil and filter changes and maintenance inspections at MINI dealerships, a battery replacement, a thermostat and thermostat housing replacement, and new tires in April 2026, and a coolant flush and maintenance inspection at Morristown MINI in September 2026. Extended service plans may be available for buyers who want added peace of mind. Standard Features The Cooper S is the performance-minded step up in the Countryman lineup, and it earns that status with a turbocharged engine, sport-tuned character, and a list of standard equipment that goes well beyond the basics. Sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, aluminum sport pedals, push-button start, and automatic climate control give the cabin a premium, driver-focused feel. A Sport mode button sharpens throttle and steering response on demand, fog lights and a rear roof spoiler add to the athletic look, and a rear wiper, heated mirrors, and roof rails round out a practical package. It is a trim for the buyer who wants a MINI with real punch and everyday usefulness.
