The Gray exterior gives it a clean, professional look that holds its appeal year after year. In real-world driving, this combination delivers a confident blend of responsive acceleration and strong fuel efficiency typically returning around 27 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The engine is part of Honda's Earth Dreams Technology lineup, designed for long-term durability and minimal maintenance headaches. The automatic transmission shifts cleanly and intuitively, making this car an effortless daily driver whether you're navigating the 5 Freeway or surface streets around Santa Ana and the broader Orange County corridor. ===== Honda Accord LX Features and Interior ===== ==== Comfort, Tech, and Everyday Usability ==== The LX is the entry trim for the Accord lineup, but Honda doesn't cut corners where it counts. You'll find a well-appointed interior with cloth seating, a multi-angle rearview camera, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, a USB audio interface, and Honda's easy-to-navigate infotainment display. The Accord's interior dimensions punch above its class rear-seat legroom is genuinely generous, making it comfortable for adult passengers on longer drives. The trunk offers ample cargo space, and the overall cabin design has aged gracefully, still feeling modern and practical years after its debut. Keyless entry, cruise control, and air conditioning round out the everyday essentials that make the LX a fully livable vehicle without extra cost. ===== Honda Accord Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What Owners and Experts Say ==== The 2016 Honda Accord has earned consistently high marks from owners, mechanics, and automotive analysts. J.D. Power rated the 2016 Accord above average in initial quality, and the model has long been a staple on Consumer Reports' recommended list. The 2.4-liter engine in particular is known for its low-maintenance nature timing chain instead of a belt means no costly replacement intervals and the CVT-free automatic transmission is a notably smoother and more durable choice than what many competitors offer. Common ownership costs are minimal when basic maintenance oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections is kept up to date.
