*1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet 25th Anniversary Edition* This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet 25th Anniversary Edition presents with 53,000 miles and two owners, having been in the care of the same family since 1991. Built in November 1988 and first sold on August 28, 1989 through Campbell Motor Cars in Buena Park, California, this is one of just 200 Cabriolets produced for the 1989 model year to commemorate 25 years of 911 production and one of only 160 finished in Silver Metallic, making it a genuinely rare survivor from the final year of the air-cooled G-series Carrera before Porsche transitioned to the 964 generation. The Silver Anniversary Package brought a distinct set of features found on no other 911 of the era, including body-color Fuchs wheels, front and rear spoilers, a stitched leather console housing an outside temperature gauge, and a short-shift gear lever paired with the desirable G50 five-speed. Power comes from the 3.2-liter air-cooled flat-six, producing approximately 217 horsepower, delivering the raw, mechanical driving character that has made the 3.2 Carrera one of the most sought-after air-cooled 911s among collectors. This example was further equipped with an electric cabriolet top, cruise control, a Hi-Fi sound system with amplifier, and Raffia leather seat covers, rounding out a well-optioned build for its era. Ownership and maintenance history on this Cabriolet is exceptionally thorough, with service records dating back to 1991 documenting regular oil services, brake work, A/C servicing, and major services performed at recurring intervals throughout its life including a full major service in 2017 covering shifter bushings, spark plugs, valve adjustment, distributor cap and rotor, and a transmission flush, along with further major service and sensor work in 2021. The convertible top, boot, and headliner were replaced with factory parts in 2002, and tires were most recently replaced with Michelins last summer. The car comes complete with two main keys, a valet key, three wheel lock keys, the original owner's manual and maintenance booklet with service stamps, the original window sticker, an extensive file of service receipts, the original tool kit, factory jack, space-saver spare, tonneau cover with vinyl carry case, front license plate bracket, and a car cover. Combining genuine, well-documented one-family ownership since 1991 with the rarity of a numbers-limited 25th Anniversary Cabriolet one of only 160 examples in this color this 911 offers a compelling opportunity to acquire a historically significant, thoroughly maintained bookend to the air-cooled Carrera era. * Silver Anniversary Package * Standard radio * Shorter gearshift lever * High intensity windshield washer * Headlight washer * Electric cabriolet top * Cruise control * Front and rear spoilers * Hi Fi sound system * Amplifier system * Seat cover Raff leather * Silver Metallic Paint * Regular oil services * Oil service and inspection at local Porsche dealer (7/91 @ 13,480 miles) * Oil service, new belts, a/c service (10/02 @ 37,551 miles) * Replace convertible top, boot, and headliner with factory part (10/02) * Front and rear brake rotors and pads (9/03 @ 39,594 miles) * New A/C compressor and service (9/10 @43,877 miles) * services and repairs (8/06 @ 41,468 miles) * Service A/C * Adjust belt tensioner/re-shim alternator >
