Grail truck, two owner (carfax image from purchase), 1998 12 valve p-pump 5 speed manual quad cab 4x4. 49 State (no factory egr). Minimal modifications low miles, 142k. Drives great. Of course it has the typical 2nd gen clear coat peeling and cracked dash but no holes. Minimal surface rust, no penetration, entire body is solid. Frame is still largely original paint. Well maintained and as original as possible. I believe the gears were swapped to 4.10 prior to my ownership. I have had it since 92k miles and drive it weekly so its current mileage will continue to increase slowly while its listed. KDP was addressed by 5th gear in Broomfield with a proper tab over the pin. KDP was still in place at the time it was mitigated. Driver seat bottom cloth has been replaced as has the cushion with richmond upholstery matching materials. Starter was replaced with a new genuine nippon desno from Larry B's. Factory starter contacts were upgraded with Larry B's and comes with the truck. Alternator was replaced and batteries are from January 2026. Steering box was replaced with a bluetop and dodge offroad brace was added. Old steering box is included if you wish to get it rebuilt. Also have new battery cables, battery tie downs, a new lift pump with stud kit, fuel elbow and a couple sensors. Fuel heater has been removed. Front brakes were completely rebuilt a coupe years ago. Bed has linex and has a paint matched camper shell. The rear flip up glass doesn't fit quite perfectly but locks secure. Two small spots of body damage, branch creased the rear passenger door and back of rear wheel well, see photos. All four wheels have nice flaps to keep snow and mud off the bottom of the truck. Tires are a bit sun dried but still have reasonable tread. Couple small leaks underneath, it is near 30 years old after all. Back drivers side axle seal leaks a small amount on long drives. 4wd and trans shift easy. Small spider and single crack about 1/2 across windshield on passenger side.
