At 110,777 miles, this sedan sits in a very reasonable range for a well-maintained Mercedes flagship. The W221 S-Class was overengineered from the factory, and examples like this one, when properly cared for, routinely deliver years of refined driving without major mechanical surprises. If you've been searching for a used Mercedes-Benz S550 in Concord or the greater Contra Costa County area, this stock #2620 is well worth a close look. ===== 2007 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Performance and Engine ===== ==== V8 Power That Still Commands Respect ==== Under the long hood of this S550 sits Mercedes-Benz's legendary 5.5-liter V8 engine, producing 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque in its factory configuration. Paired with a smooth, intelligent 7-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels, this powertrain delivers effortless acceleration and seamless highway cruising. Rear-wheel drive on the S550 gives it a proper, sporty character that front-wheel-drive luxury sedans simply can't match you feel it immediately when merging onto I-680 or cruising through the Caldecott Tunnel. The engine's long-stroke design prioritizes torque delivery low in the rev range, making everyday driving feel relaxed and confident without ever feeling underpowered. ===== Mercedes-Benz S-Class Features and Interior ===== ==== A Flagship Cabin That Still Impresses ==== The W221 S-Class was widely praised at launch for leapfrogging the competition in interior quality and technology, and the S550 trim level sits near the top of the lineup. Buyers can expect standard features such as the COMAND infotainment system, dual-zone or quad-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats with memory, genuine wood trim, and Mercedes-Benz's Airmatic air suspension system which delivers a magic-carpet ride quality that rivals sedans costing twice as much today. Visibility, rear seat legroom, and overall build quality in this generation of S-Class remain benchmarks that buyers cross-shopping later vehicles still reference. ===== Mercedes-Benz S-Class Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What to Know Before You Buy ==== The 2007 Mercedes-Benz S550 has a reputation as a solidly engineered machine when properly maintained. The 5.5-liter M273 V8 is widely regarded as one of Mercedes-Benz's more durable modern engines, and most high-mileage examples that have been routinely serviced continue to perform without significant powertrain issues. Prospective buyers should be aware that air suspension components and electronics can require attention on any luxury vehicle of this age routine items like ABC suspension struts, battery replacement, and keeping up with fluid service intervals matter more on a flagship Mercedes than on a basic commuter car. A pre-purchase inspection is always a smart move, and Bahal Motors encourages informed buyers. The good news: parts availability for this generation is excellent, and independent Mercedes specialists throughout Contra Costa County make ownership very manageable cost-wise compared to newer luxury vehicles. ===== Why Buy From Bahal Motors in Concord, CA ===== Bahal Motors, located in Concord in Contra Costa County, has built its reputation on offering quality pre-owned veh>
