Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1998 Pontiac Trans Am WS6, finished in a bold Red exterior over a Gray interior. With its aggressive styling, distinctive Ram Air hood, and unmistakable fourth-generation Firebird design, this Trans Am captures the spirit of late-1990s American muscle. The WS6 performance package adds to its sporty character, making it a standout example of Pontiac's performance heritage. Under the hood sits a 5.7L LS1 V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Power is delivered through a 3.23 performance rear axle gear ratio and limited-slip Positraction differential, helping distribute power between the rear wheels for improved traction during acceleration. Power steering assists with maneuverability, while power brakes provide additional stopping assistance. Inside, the Gray interior offers a driver-focused layout with a combination of comfort and convenience. Power-adjustable seats, power windows, and power door locks provide modern amenities, while air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable during warmer weather. An AM/FM radio supplies entertainment along the way, and removable T-tops allow for an open-air driving experience. Seatbelts round out the listed safety equipment. An interesting piece of Trans Am history is that 1998 marked the introduction of the LS1 V8 to the Firebird lineup, replacing the previous LT1 engine. The WS6 package further distinguished the Trans Am with its Ram Air induction system and performance-oriented equipment. These updates helped establish the 1998 model as an important year in the evolution of Pontiac's fourth- generation performance cars. This 1998 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 is listed by our San Antonio/Austin showroom and can be viewed in greater detail, including 100 plus HD pictures and an HD video, at GatewayClassicCars.com.
