Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 2001 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer Edition, finished in a distinctive Green and Tan two-tone exterior over a Tan leather interior. Built on Ford's Super Duty truck platform, the Excursion combines full-size SUV versatility with heavy-duty truck engineering. The Eddie Bauer trim adds an upscale touch to its commanding appearance, making this SUV a notable example of Ford's early-2000s lineup. Under the hood sits the renowned 7.3L Power Stroke turbo diesel V8 paired with a 4R100 automatic transmission. Known for its substantial torque and reputation for durability, this diesel powertrain was a popular choice among buyers seeking a capable full-size SUV. Power steering assists with maneuverability, while anti-lock brakes provide additional control during braking. Inside, the Tan leather interior offers a spacious cabin designed with passenger comfort in mind. Power-adjustable seats with lumbar support allow the driver to find a comfortable seating position, while a tilt steering wheel adds further adjustability. Air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and power door locks provide everyday convenience. An AM/FM radio with CD player supplies entertainment for longer drives, while seatbelts and dual airbags round out the listed safety equipment. An interesting piece of Excursion history is that Ford introduced the model for the 2000 model year as its largest SUV, positioning it above the Expedition. The Excursion was developed using the Super Duty truck platform and offered several engine options, including the 7.3L Power Stroke diesel. Its combination of generous passenger space and heavy-duty construction made it a distinctive entry in the full-size SUV market. This 2001 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer Edition is listed by our San Antonio/Austin showroom and can be viewed in greater detail, including 100 plus HD pictures and an HD video, at GatewayClassicCars.com.
