If you've been searching for a rare, classic people-mover with genuine character and utility, this 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan MV Minivan for sale at Siry Motors by Siry & Sons Inc. in San Diego, California is exactly the kind of find that doesn't stay on the lot long. With a devoted following among families, road-trippers, and vintage VW enthusiasts alike, the EuroVan represents the final chapter of Volkswagen's legendary van lineage and this example is a compelling opportunity to own a piece of that history. ===== About This 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan MV Minivan ===== At 138,933 miles, this EuroVan MV sits in a range that's very typical for these well-traveled vans. VW EuroVans equipped with the 2.8-liter VR6 engine are known to keep going well beyond this mileage when properly maintained, and many devoted owners report their vans well into the 200,000-mile range. The MV or MultiVan trim is particularly sought-after for its flexible, removable rear seating and versatile interior layout, making it one of the most livable configurations in the EuroVan lineup. If you're a buyer near San Diego looking for something truly different from the mainstream minivan crowd, this is worth a serious look. ===== 2002 Volkswagen EuroVan Performance and Engine ===== ==== The 2.8-Liter VR6 Under the Hood ==== This EuroVan is powered by Volkswagen's iconic 2.8-liter VR6 engine paired with an automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The VR6 was a significant upgrade over earlier EuroVan engines, delivering smoother power delivery and enough torque to handle highway merges, mountain grades, and fully loaded family road trips without complaint. It's not a sports car but it was never meant to be. The VR6 provides a confident, composed driving experience that suits the EuroVan's character perfectly. Front-wheel drive keeps things predictable in Southern California's varied driving conditions, from San Diego freeways to mountain roads heading toward Julian or the Cleveland National Forest. ===== Volkswagen EuroVan Features and Interior ===== ==== MV Trim Flexibility Is the Point ==== The MV trim stands for MultiVan, and that name earns its keep. The interior is built around versatility the rear bench seats are removable and can be reconfigured to create a remarkably open cargo area or a comfortable seven-passenger people hauler depending on your needs. The elevated roofline gives passengers an airy, upright seating position that you simply don't find in modern minivans, and visibility from all seats is exceptional. For families in San Diego looking to haul beach gear, camping equipment, surf boards, or a full crew to Balboa Park, the EuroVan MV offers a kind of practical flexibility that newer vehicles rarely match. ===== Volkswagen EuroVan Reliability and Ownership ===== ==== What EuroVan Owners Know ==== The EuroVan has a dedicated and passionate ownership community for good reason. When maintained properly especially with attention to the cooling system, transmission fluid, and the occasional quirks of its European electrical components these vans are remarkably durable. The 2.8-liter VR6 variant that arrived in the late EuroVan generation addressed many of the concerns associated with earlier powerplants, and most long-term owners point to it as the sweet spot of the lineup. It's worth noting that finding a quality EuroVan in drivable, usable condition is increasingly difficult as the years go on supply is genuinely shrinking. Prospective buyers should have a pre-purchase inspection performed by a VW-familiar technician and review maintenance records, particularly cooling system service history. ===== Why Buy From Siry Motors by Siry & Sons Inc. in San Diego, California ===== Siry Motors by Siry & Sons Inc., located in San Diego in San Diego County, has built a reputation for sourcing interesting, eclect>
