Finished in a commanding black exterior and powered by a thundering 5.0L V8 engine, this Range Rover delivers the kind of presence and performance that few SUVs can match even a decade after it rolled off the line. With 141,500 miles on the odometer, this is a well-traveled example of one of the world's most respected luxury off-roaders, priced to reflect real value for the right buyer. ===== About This 2012 Land Rover Range Rover HSE ===== The fourth-generation Range Rover of which this 2012 model is a part is widely regarded as the pinnacle of Land Rover's engineering achievement during that era. The HSE trim sits above the base model and delivers a well-rounded blend of luxury appointments and genuine off-road capability. At 141,500 miles, this vehicle has seen real use, but Range Rovers of this generation are built to go the distance when properly maintained. Black over whatever interior configuration awaits you inside, this SUV cuts an unmistakable silhouette on the road and commands attention from every angle. ===== 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Performance and Engine ===== ==== 5.0L Naturally Aspirated V8 Power With Purpose ==== Under the hood sits Land Rover's acclaimed 5.0L naturally aspirated V8, producing 375 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission and full-time 4WD, this powertrain is equally at home on the 405 freeway during rush hour as it is navigating rugged terrain in the San Bernardino Mountains. The naturally aspirated V8 is known for its linear power delivery no waiting for a turbo to spool up, just immediate, confident acceleration when you need it. Real-world drivers appreciate the authoritative pull at highway speeds and the ease of merging or passing in Southern California traffic. ==== Four-Wheel Drive Capability ==== The Range Rover's 4WD system is not an afterthought it's the backbone of the vehicle's identity. With Land Rover's Terrain Response system (standard on this generation), the driver can dial in settings for sand, mud, rock, and more. Whether you're taking a weekend trip through the Ortega Highway or heading up toward Big Bear, this SUV handles varied terrain without breaking a sweat. ===== Land Rover Range Rover HSE Features and Interior ===== ==== HSE Trim Luxury Where It Counts ==== The HSE trim brings a host of premium features over the base configuration, including upgraded interior materials, power-adjustable seating, dual-zone climate control, a premium sound system, and a sophisticated infotainment setup for its era. The Range Rover's interior has always been a benchmark for luxury SUVs wide, airy, and built with quality materials designed to age gracefully. Rear passengers enjoy ample legroom that rivals many first-class cabins, and the commanding driving position gives the driver an excellent view of the road ahead. ===== Land Rover Range Rover Reliability and Ownership ===== Owning a Range Rover of this generation is a rewarding experience but it does come with a clear-eyed set of expectations. These vehicles are well-known for their sophistication and capability, but they perform best for owners who stay on top of maintenance. Common attention points on the L322-era Range Rover include the air suspension, cooling system, and oil consumption at higher mileages. Buyers who invest in thorough pre-purchase inspections and commit to routine servicing are often rewarded with a vehicle that continues to perform beautifully well beyond 150,000 miles.
