This is a Cayman GTS that has already been set up for serious driving. The door sill reads 'Cayman GTS,' confirming the trim, and underneath the bodywork sits hardware most GTS buyers never add: a pair of JRZ RS coilover reservoirs mounted in the rear cargo area, and a set of FIA-rated racing harnesses in place of the standard belts. The red paint carries a black roof panel with twin red stripes, a look that sets this car apart the moment it rolls up. A front splitter and mesh-covered intake openings sit under the nose, while a fixed wing sits atop the engine lid on its own support brackets. Dark gunmetal multi-spoke wheels fill out the stance. Inside, black upholstery is finished with red accent stitching that carries the exterior theme straight through to the cabin, and the FIA-tagged harnesses are a serious piece of equipment to find already installed. This is a GTS that has been equipped to be driven hard, not just looked at. Power comes from Porsche's 3.4-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, mounted amidships in classic Cayman fashion. It is paired here with Porsche's PDK dual-clutch gearbox, putting shifts at the driver's fingertips through the console-mounted selector marked PDK. The mid-engine layout is the heart of what makes a Cayman feel the way it does, and GTS specification brings calibration and chassis work that sharpen that experience further. The car wears red paint with a black roof panel and twin red stripes running down its length, a livery treatment that reads as purposeful rather than decorative. A front splitter sits under the nose alongside mesh-covered intake openings, and a rear wing is mounted to the engine lid on visible support brackets, both signaling this car's track-oriented intent. Dark gunmetal multi-spoke wheels complete the look, filling the arches with a finish that suits the aggressive aero treatment front and rear. The cabin is trimmed in black upholstery with red accent stitching that ties directly back to the exterior stripe work. In place of standard seatbelts, red racing-style harnesses are installed, with webbing tags reading FIA D-107 and FIA D-276, T/98, confirming FIA-rated equipment rather than a decorative substitute. The driver's door sill plate reads 'Cayman GTS,' and the VIN etched into the dashboard glass, WP0AB2A89FK180414, matches the vehicle record. This car is equipped with Porsche's 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, shifted via a console-mounted selector marked PDK. On the 2015 Cayman GTS, the 6-speed manual was the standard gearbox; PDK was a paid upgrade over that base specification, not a no-cost option. Having it fitted here means the next owner gets Porsche's quick-shifting dual-clutch gearbox rather than the standard manual. Car and Driver tested a manual 2015 Cayman GTS to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, running the quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds at 113 mph, and recorded 1.04g on the skidpad. Motor Trend called the GTS 'one of the most enjoyable cars to drive,' praising its balance of power and capability, while Kelley Blue Book noted its communicative steering and well-controlled body movements. The press consensus at launch was that the GTS didn't transform the Cayman S so much as sharpen everything that was already good about it: Porsche added 15 hp and 7 lb-ft to the same 3.4-litre flat-six, lowered the ride height by 10 mm, and layered in Sport Chrono and more aggressive Sport Plus programming. The 981-generation GTS has since become recognized as one of the last Porsches to combine a naturally aspirated flat-six, a mid-engine chassis, and genuinely everyday manners before the range moved toward turbocharging. That combination, more than rarity, is what has made the model increasingly sought after in the years since.
