The 136-inch wheelbase configuration strikes the ideal balance between interior cargo capacity and urban maneuverability, making it equally at home on a tight Riverside side street or a sprawling distribution route across Riverside County. Stock number 4061 is available now and ready for inspection at our Riverside lot. ===== 2023 RAM ProMaster 1500 Performance and Engine ===== Under the hood, this ProMaster 1500 is powered by RAM's Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine, producing 276 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a smooth automatic transmission and a front-wheel-drive configuration, this powertrain delivers confident, predictable performance whether you're merging onto the 91 freeway or navigating a dense industrial park. ==== Why Front-Wheel Drive Makes Sense in a Cargo Van ==== The ProMaster's front-wheel-drive setup is more than just a design choice it's a practical advantage. FWD lowers the cargo floor compared to rear-wheel-drive vans, meaning easier loading and less fatigue at the end of a long workday. It also improves traction in lighter load conditions and simplifies drivetrain maintenance over time. For operators based in Southern California, where snow traction is rarely a concern, FWD is the ideal configuration. ==== Wheelbase and Cargo Space ==== The 136-inch wheelbase on this 1500 trim offers generous cargo room without pushing into the oversized territory that makes parking and city driving a challenge. It's the sweet spot that most tradespeople, delivery drivers, and mobile service businesses gravitate toward when speccing out their fleet. ===== RAM ProMaster Features and Interior ===== The 2023 ProMaster 1500 136 WB is built around utility, and RAM understands that the interior of a work van needs to function as a mobile office and job site rolled into one. The cabin is driver-focused, with intuitive controls, solid ergonomics for long days behind the wheel, and enough technology integration to keep operators connected and informed on the go. The cargo area features a flat floor a notable advantage over traditional rear-wheel-drive vans that have a raised tunnel running down the center. This flat, wide floor makes it dramatically easier to load pallets, equipment, shelving units, or any custom van build-out. The low load floor height means less lifting and faster loading cycles every single day. ===== RAM ProMaster Reliability and Ownership ===== The RAM ProMaster has earned a strong reputation among commercial fleet managers and independent business owners alike. Built on a proven platform and powered by the Pentastar V6 one of the most widely used and well-regarded engines in the Stellantis family the ProMaster is known for holding up under heavy daily use when properly maintained. Owners consistently praise the ProMaster for its accessible service points, relatively straightforward maintenance schedule, and the wide availability of parts across Southern California. The front-wheel-drive architecture also means fewer drivetrain components overall, which translates to lower long-term maintenance costs com>
