2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 3dr Ext Cab 143.5 WB LS *Ltd Avail* Vortec 5.3L V-8 regular gasoline engine with 285HP paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. This Silverado pairs classic *V8* strength with a hands-on manual gearbox, offering strong low-end torque and lively midrange power for confident everyday driving without complicated electronics. *Cruise control* makes highway stretches less tiring by holding a steady speed, so longer trips feel more relaxed and throttle use stays consistent. The *OHV* pushrod engine design delivers robust low-end torque early in the rev range, helping the truck accelerate smoothly from stops and under load. *Sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection* improves starting, throttle response and efficiency by delivering precisely timed fuel to each cylinder. The *V8* configuration supplies strong midrange punch and smooth operation, giving confident acceleration and durable performance for everyday use. A *mechanical* ignition system keeps things simple and reliable, which can translate to easier maintenance and fewer electronic headaches over time. An *ignition immobilizer* adds a passive layer of theft protection so the vehicle won’t start without the authorized key, increasing security when parked. The leather-wrapped steering wheel elevates the cabin feel and provides a more comfortable grip for longer drives. A manual tilt steering column helps drivers quickly find a comfortable seating position for improved control and easier entry and exit. Front airbags work alongside seatbelts to reduce the risk of serious injury in a collision, providing essential protection for the driver and front passenger. The driver front-impact airbag cushions critical contact points in frontal impacts to help lower the chance of severe head and chest injuries. A cancellable front passenger airbag gives you the flexibility to deactivate the passenger airbag when carrying small children or certain cargo, improving safety adaptability. Altogether, this Silverado 1500 combines straightforward *mechanical* reliability, *V8* capability and practical comfort features that suit drivers who appreciate rugged, easy-to-maintain trucks. If you value honest performance and useful conveniences without unnecessary complexity, this truck is worth a closer look.
