For the enthusiast who appreciates understated styling backed by serious V8 performance, this 2017 Chevrolet SS is something special. Finished in the sophisticated Nightfall Gray Metallic over a Jet Black leather interior, this SS combines the practicality of a four-door sedan with the heart and soul of a true American muscle car. Showing 71,000 original miles, this example is in excellent condition inside and out. Adult-owned, exceptionally well cared for, and accompanied by a clean Carfax with no accidents reported, this SS has been regularly serviced, with recent maintenance completed and a fresh set of tires installed. What truly separates this car from the ordinary is its highly desirable 6-speed manual transmission. In an era when performance sedans increasingly abandoned the traditional manual gearbox, Chevrolet gave enthusiasts something increasingly difficult to find: a naturally aspirated V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive sport sedan with three pedals and an engaging, driver-focused personality. ===== THE RARE CHEVROLET SS BUILT FOR ENTHUSIASTS ===== The Chevrolet SS was only offered in the United States for the 2 model years, making it a relatively uncommon sight on today's roads. Built in Australia on the Holden Commodore platform, the SS combined international performance-sedan engineering with Chevrolet's legendary LS V8 power. The 2017 model marks the final year of Chevrolet SS production, adding another layer of desirability to this already distinctive performance sedan. The manual transmission is especially sought after, as it was a less common choice than the automatic and was offered only from 2015 through 2017. Contemporary automotive coverage reported that roughly one in five SS sedans received the manual transmission. <Cite refs={['turn467297search3','turn467297search9']}/> Under the hood sits the legendary 6.2L LS3 V8, factory rated at 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through the engaging 6-speed manual transmission, creating a driving experience that feels increasingly rare in today's automotive market. This is the definition of a sleeper: subtle, sophisticated styling concealing serious performance beneath the surface. ===== TASTEFULLY MODIFIED THE RIGHT UPGRADES ===== This SS features a carefully selected pair of upgrades that complement the LS3 V8 without compromising the car's understated character. Performance Upgrades Include: * Roto-Fab Performance Air Intake System * Cat-Back Exhaust System * Naturally aspirated 6.2L LS3 V8 * Rare 6-speed manual transmission * Rear-wheel-drive performance platform The Roto-Fab intake enhances the engine bay and airflow, while the cat-back exhaust gives the LS3 a more aggressive V8 soundtrack. Together, these upgrades bring out the character of the powertrain while preserving the clean, refined appearance that makes the Chevrolet SS so appealing. ===== SOPHISTICATED EXTERIOR PERFORMANCE AT HEART ===== The Nightfall Gray Metallic finish gives this SS a sleek, understated appearance that looks right at home in any setting. Its muscular proportions, subtle SS styling, and purposeful stance deliver the perfect balance between executive-sedan refinement and genuine performance-car character. Unlike more attention-seeking muscle cars, the Chevrolet SS keeps its performance credentials relatively discreet. Those who know these cars understand exactly what makes them special. ===== COMFORTABLE, REFINED & DRIVER-FOCUSED ===== Inside, the Jet Black leather cabin provides a premium environment with the comfort and practicality expected from a well-equipped performance sedan.
