It's about how the entire car works together. The turbocharged boxer engine delivers a strong, satisfying surge of power, while the six-speed manual gives you direct control over how that power reaches the road. And Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive helps translate that performance into confident traction. It's a wonderfully engaging combination. *You don't simply point the WRX down the road. You participate in the experience.* ---------------------------------------- ===== ??? The Six-Speed Manual Experience ===== *Traditional three-pedal driving* Driver-controlled gear selection Six forward gears Engaging clutch-and-shifter operation Direct connection to the turbocharged powertrain Classic enthusiast-oriented driving experience Let's give the manual transmission the attention it deserves. Because it's one of the biggest reasons to buy this particular WRX. Modern performance cars are becoming increasingly automated. Dual-clutch transmissions. Paddle shifters. Computers making decisions before the driver even has time to think about them. And while those technologies can be incredibly impressive, there's still something special about doing it yourself. Selecting the gear. Working the clutch. Matching the engine speed. Getting everything just right. *The six-speed manual makes the driver an essential part of the equation.* And in a car like the WRX, that's exactly how it should be. ----------->
